Peer Review Process

Submissions to vis-à-vis are reviewed by qualified volunteers who are selected by Section Editors. A blind review process is employed.

Peer-reviews are completed using an online form provided by the Section Editor. Alternatively, reviews following the form's framework may be uploaded to the vis-à-vis website in a single .doc, .odt, or .rtf file. To ensure anonymity, please do not include your name or any personal information in your MS Word document. See ensuring a blind review for useful tips.

A recommendation is issued for each manuscript. One of the following recommendations must be clearly indicated at the top of the MS Word document: accept submission, revisions required, resubmit for review, or decline submission.

After assessing all reviews, the Section Editor will contact the author with a summative decision and provide feedback on the manuscript.

Publication Frequency

Submissions selected for inclusion will appear in the following issue of the journal, published biannually each fall and spring.
